Question: Who is the character you most identify with in A Christmas Carol, whether it be in one of the many movie versions or in the book? Why?
I had to think about this one! I'm going to say that I am most like Scrooge's sister, Fan. I get so excited about my family and about the holidays. It makes me happy to be with them!
ReplyDeleteI think Mrs. Cratchit. She's not so saintly as Bob -- she toasts Mr. Scrooge's health for the day and not for him -- but she's a strong woman who knows her mind and loves her family.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure i MOST identify with this character, but I'm still going to say the two young Cratchits (and Martha too) because when they saw their father coming they told Martha to hide. I would do that kind of stuff all the time growing up. That part is obscure, but I still smiled at it.
ReplyDeleteWell, off the top of my head I'm going to say the ghost of Christmas present because I'm really excited for Christmas this year. We get to be with our families and last year we celebrated with just the two of us. And ... in the 3D movie we went to see he was big and fat. In that regard I am becomming less and less like him ... and its feeling great.
ReplyDeleteI think I would have to say Mrs. Cratchit. She puts her family (and especially her husband) first. She wants everything to be just right for dinner. And when her husband comes home from a long, cold walk she takes care of him by directing him to the chair by the fire and gives him something hot to drink.
ReplyDeleteAnd I know it may sound lame, but I wish I were more like Scrooge himself. He's obviously very teachable and repentant. And when he changes, he changes for good--never reverting back to his old ways.
And I don't want you to draw my name this month, okay? If you do, draw again.
